With a background in fine art and fashion, Corey has a personal history steeped in design. Prior to founding Hemingway+K with James, Corey held the position of Head of Prime Sales at estate agencies The Modern House and Inigo, and played a substantial role in their growth during her nine-year tenure.

Her approach balances tenacity and dedication with intuition and empathy, and through a global network of high profile buyers and industry connections, Corey has had enormous success in the sale and purchase of some of the country’s, and in particular London’s most beautiful homes.

Prior to establishing Hemingway+K, James enjoyed roles in finance, fine art and a decade-long career alongside Corey at pioneering estate agency The Modern House. With Corey, James established one of London’s best performing teams in the prime sector, marrying their symbiotic talents, both tactical and aesthetic, to provide an exceptional service for their clients.

James approaches each sale as a partnership and is adept at navigating the challenges of the upper levels of the market. He has an unwavering understanding of what is required to successfully sell or acquire exceptional homes in the ever-evolving prime property landscape.

Our primary service is in the marketing and sale of beautiful London homes, from the historic to the contemporary. 

Each sale presents a unique opportunity for representation. Our approach to photography, moving image, and written word relies on creative collaboration between us and some of the country’s most celebrated architectural photographers. 

Our collective backgrounds in creative industries and extensive experience in renovation means we are well-versed in guiding practical aspects, and the possibilities of design; tools that are integral in overcoming the barriers to commitment so often felt by buyers.

Intermediary Brokering

Occasionally, our clients will ask us to serve as intermediaries in the negotiation and conveyancing of private sales. Our involvement can remove conflicts of interest and awkwardness between connected parties, we ensure communicative bridges between legal teams, and manage the many complexities on the road to exchange.

Like our roles as intermediaries, some of our clients will ask us to find potential properties for them or to act on their behalf in the purchase of a home. Our deep understanding of prime markets in London and beyond – plus our eye for aesthetic and practical detail – offers a reassuring and time-saving option for vetting and negotiation. We are, however, a company that can only offer the level of service we do because we keep our volumes low. Therefore, we can only provide this service if capacity allows. If we are unable to support you directly, we will discuss your requirements, and recommend the best buying agent for you from our close network.

Design Consultancy

We offer ourselves as a soundboard for sense-checking, and as a portal to the best architects and designers for your particular project. Prior to purchase, in the early stages of owning a home or if you are considering a renovation of your existing space, we can provide early guidance. Initial concepts, both spatial and material are key to the future direction of your project, as can be the impact of certain decisions on final values or market appreciation.
